Yoshi the yak loved yogurt. Every day, he would yell with joy when his mom put yogurt in his yellow bowl.
"Yoshi!" called his friend Maya the mouse. "You're always eating yogurt!"
Yoshi nodded happily. "Yes! Yogurt is my favorite food beyond everything!"
Maya pointed to Yoshi's yogurt. "May I try a tiny bit?"
"Of course," said Yoshi. "But only a spoonful. This yogurt is very special."
Maya dipped her spoon in the yellow yogurt. As soon as she tasted it, her eyes grew wide!
"Yikes!" she cried. "This yogurt makes me want to yodel!"
And she did! Maya stood on her tiny feet and sang, "Yodel-ay-hee-hoo!"
Yoshi laughed. "Yes! That's why I love this yogurt. It's magic yogurt from beyond the mountains!"
Just then, they heard a cry from the yard. It was Billy the baby goat, looking very unhappy.
"What's wrong?" Yoshi asked.
"I'm so hungry, but my tummy hurts when I eat hay," said Billy with a sniffle.
Yoshi thought for a moment. Then he had an idea!
"Try my yogurt!" he said, giving Billy a spoonful.
Billy took a tiny taste. His eyes lit up, and he started to bounce! He jumped so high he nearly touched the sky!
"Your yogurt fixed my tummy!" Billy yelled with glee.
Soon, all the barnyard animals were lining up to try Yoshi's yogurt. Some would yawn, some would yodel, and some would bounce up high!
"Your yogurt is magical!" they all said.
Yoshi smiled. "Yes, and you're all my yogurt buddies now!"
